Summary
Not all men were created equal. This was a lesson Dara learned very quickly. Born and bred in the crime littered streets of the Undercity, she understood from a young age there were certain rules you live by to survive.
Despite her hardships, she had managed to carve a place for herself. It was small, and fragile, but it was hers. A mentor she looked up to. A group of hard-headed children who fostered countless heart attacks. And a woman with a voice made of gold that weakened her knees and slithered past her defences. And tightly woven in it all, the silent ghost of a brother whose legacy she could never live up to.
An inevitable war threatened the foundations of all she'd built. Shadows in the street whispered of an old phantom, coming to reclaim all he'd lost. Control of the Undercity was a constantly tipping scale. Unwillingly, Dara had found herself in the middle of a power struggle she never saw coming. And faced with the stinging heartache of betrayal. Selene was never meant to survive the council bombing, but she did, and nothing has felt right since. In the ruins of what was, she follows her brother Viktor deep into Zaun, where he builds a commune meant to offer safety and a chance to start over.
For a while, it almost works, but everything changes when Vi, Isha, and Jinx arrive asking for help to save what remains of Vander.
As tensions rise and old wounds resurface, Selene is forced to confront her feelings. Nothing is simple when grief, guilt, and family are tangled together. Especially when the person she is supposed to hate, might be the only one who truly sees her.

The two youngest sisters were never far apart from each other. Vander always knew if he heard one loud and wild voice, the other would soon follow it. Silco quickly learned that after saving one blue-haired girl from the rubble, another purple-haired girl would be pulled from it too.
So, the second that Jinx's fingers fell out of Vi's grasp, her twin followed without hesitation. Not with the intention of saving Jinx, she didn't believe she had the ability to do so. But rather to be with Jinx, wherever that is, dead or alive. The last Jinx ever saw of her sister were those purple braids falling just as she had previously, before disappearing into the colorful smoke.
The purple-haired girl went on to live with Vi, struggling to live a life without that blue hair by her side for the very first time in her life. Until the boy savior lives up to his name...
"Here, come sit down little man." Ekko walks over to the couch and gently lays down the girl in his arms, blue braids scraping the ground by his feet. Vi kneels down next to the unconscious girl, staring down in disbelief. She watches as the girls chest moves up and down with her breaths, just barely, but still moving, still breathing. Still alive
