Summary
This fic is also lovingly known as DILF Eddie by the OG Buddie Month Discord Server.
Buck is forced to go on a temporary medical leave after getting crushed by a flight of stairs. In the meantime, he works at dispatch while he recovers. One evening after work, Buck hooks up with a mysterious, hot, family oriented DILF. The following morning he’s mortified and a little love sick after discovering said hook-up aka Eddie Diaz is the newest (temporary) firefighter liaison--poached from a house in El Paso, Texas. Buck navigates becoming best friends and eventually work partners with his ex-hookup. In the meantime, he desperately tries not to fall in love. He fails.

Summary
While out one day preparing for Maddie and Chimney’s big day, Buck and Maddie are abducted and no one knows where they are. Eventually, the team discovers that there is an investigation by the FBI into disappearances involving siblings. As Chimney struggles with the pain of being without Maddie once again, Eddie tries to be strong for Christopher while he and Chimney support each other.
Meanwhile, Buck and Maddie are kept in separate rooms in a soundproof basement, as an unknown individual only talks to them through a vent. They struggle to survive as the man plays mind games with them, trying to make Buck think Maddie doesn’t want anything to do with him. Maddie fights back, however, willing to do anything to get her brother back and go home to their families. Will they be found? What is the motive?
